{Book Review} "Live Smart: Preparing for the Future God Wants for You" by Dan Dumas

Rating: 4/5

In Live Smart: Preparing for the Future God Wants for You, Dan Dumas lays out a list of fourteen life principles for young people to apply to their lives. Each principle is based on Biblical truths, and Dumas also uses personal examples to demonstrate how he applies the principles in his own life. This book acts a guide on how to make wise decisions in order to mature and live for Christ. In the first chapter, Dumas quotes Pastor Adrian Rogers when he writes, "If you please God, it doesn't matter whom you displease; if you displease God, it doesn't matter whom you please." The entire book points readers toward applying principles that ultimately lead to pleasing God.

Live Smart is a great book for middle and high school students. The life principles Dumas shares each relate to areas where young people often need to grow, and this book will be a great help for them. It is a short read, and one many young people would profit from.

I received a copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for an honest review.
